Synfuels Americas attended the 16th U.S. – China Oil & Gas Industry Forum held September 27 – 29, 2016 in Tysons Corner, Virginia, USA. The U.S. – China Oil & Gas Industry Forum (OGIF) is a public-private partnership involving government and industry representatives from the United States and China. The Forum enables the two countries to meet common goals, including development of secure, reliable and economic sources of oil and natural gas, while facilitating investment in the energy industry. Keynote speakers included the Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy, Christopher Smith, and the Deputy Administrator for China’s National Energy Administration, Li Fanrong. Presentations and discussions by the world’s premier oil and gas experts focused on key issues for the oil and gas industries, including unconventional resource development, enhanced oil recovery and emissions reduction.
